Leftist Leaders are Deliberately Failing US (News Review Week 6)

DOGE and team: New American Folk Heroes

There are leftist leaders right now in the United States of America who are doing their level best to undermine positive steps that the new Trump Administration is taking to re-establish peace and order in the world and in society. They simply cannot bear that their leaders are no longer at the helm, that they no longer hold a majority in Congress, and worse, that they cannot continue in their corruption addictions.

One should call this “Sour Grapes”; a term used in sports contests where the loser hurls abuse at the winner and disavows the sport, the contest, and all the adjudicants. John McEnroe in previous years was a great example of this in tennis, but he in no way comes close to the behaviours of the leftist leaders and the anarchy they are hatching and laying schemes to.

One grotesque example of this was the recent article by Chris Hedges, a so-called minister who graduated from the Harvard School of Divinity and Pulitzer Prize winner, who basically penned a hate-missive from his blog, ChrisHedges.Substack.com, “The Purge of the Deep State and the Road to Dictatorship.” As an alternative news syndicate, the screed was reposted in columns at the Unz, Consortium News, and also read aloud by his partner on YouTube channel, “The Chris Hedges Report.”

We can start with the disgusting artwork chosen by this writer and his wife, Eunice Wong, to accompany the polemic. It’s a Janus head of Elon Musk fused with DJT bathed in a red background, symbolizing blood and rage no doubt. What’s worse is the Naziesque Bit-Coin painted as a circular target above Trump’s left ear, precisely where the assassin hope to aim, but which by God’s Grace, the bullet only grazed his ear lobe. Here is a shot of the image by “Mr. Fish” the Hedges so admire:

"Of One Mind" Mr. Fish

Disgusting artwork harkening violence against those depicted used by Chris Hedges

Is that not murderous? Like a deathwish upon Musk-Trump? Or would an effete intellectual throw daggers at commentators, vehemently arguing like a “Karen” about how enlightened the art is, and that it represents a Trump impassioned with the financial genius of an Elon Musk? Of course! Better throw us in prison for advancing the wrong interpretation! Would not one then want to paint an inversion of that with, say, the head fusion of Janus-faced Wong-Hedges profiles bathed in blood? Better throw away the keys!

The piece itself is unreadable. It’s written in the style of the pseudo-intellectual Marxist, purposely packed with classist revolutionary undertones. Hedges literally is teaching the masses to wage war (if those are indeed his words):

They see in these structures, correctly, an enemy that would stymie their absolute grip on power. It is a coup d’etat by inches. Now we get our own.

Unless the revolutionaries push back, Trump will act like a Hitler or Stalin to quash the dissent taking place in the courts and in the media outlets. Even though it is under Obama and Biden that the massive surveillance and deals with the largest IT companies were wrought to rewrite search algorithm results, identify which media outlets to censor, which to shadowban, which to demonetize. Furthermore, they identified whom to harass, intimidate and attempt to frame for imprisonment. For instance, because of a remark made on air to “kill” the Democrats, Hal Turner of Hal Turner Radio Show was imprisoned for three years under the Obama administration.

Insofar as the “purges” being conducted at the FBI and Homeland Security, which literally has tens of thousands of workers, a relatively small percentage, probably less than one percent are being fired for good cause: those were the ones so inept they completely bungled the assignment to protect Trump while he was campaigning, such as on the fateful day in Pennsylvania in July 2024 when sniper(s) took shots at the Presidential candidate and killed several in the crowd; or the wannabee assassin hiding in the bushes outside the Trump Gulf Course in September 2024. They were likely the ones sent to Mar-a-Lago details to route his home and frame Trump for court investigations. There were some indirectly involved in federal probes led by Special Counsel Jack Smith. They may have assisted in the New York lawsuits. So many lawsuits and investigations were filed against Trump supporters even alt-media personalities like Roger Stone, Alex Jones, My Pillow, Tina Peters, aided and abetted by Democrats, that a contingent of Republicans in the House opened a select subcommittee to hold hearings on “The Weaponization of the Federal Government.

Over the past decade, a rise in political persecution and lawfare used against political candidates is taking place never before seen since the 1950s under McCarthyism, except this time by the Democrats. It accelerated under Covid-19, and became global in scale. Today in the U.K. there is no longer freedom of speech. If you state that the Holocaust did not occur as described, if you assert that the Covid-19 regimen is biowarfare, you can be arrested in the U.K. and imprisoned like Reiner Fullmich has been since 2023 in Germany. They tried to do this to Trump all during his presidential campaign, forcing him to appear in courts in New York, Atlanta, and elsewhere, costing his defense team many hours. According to the AP News, Trump faced 40 felony charges in the classified documents case led by Special Counsel Jack Smith. The other federal investigation by Jack Smith was the January 6th insurrection in 2021, which led to alleged participants, whether on the Capitol grounds or not, being jailed and sentenced for up to 20 years in prison. Thousands have been investigated and at least 1,265 people charged. Over 5,000 FBI employees worked on the investigation, and some of these workers leaked to the media that they were rewarded for their politically motivation.

Anyone who has heard tales of the DC Gulag who has a heart is moved with compassion about the horrid conditions of the DC Jail System and how abusively the defendants are treated even before they are tried and sentenced. They are beaten up, live with pests of all types, endure unsanitary conditions, lengthy delays in appointments, and denials in correspondance. Not to mention endless bologne sandwiches and very boring but endlessly loud T.V. and very testy neighbors, guards, and unsympathetic public defenders.

The federal workforce numbers at least 2 million workers, not including huge numbers of contractors and secondary institutions heavily funded by the federal government, so if up to 200,000 workers are laid off, that is probably far less than ten percent. A shake-up is overdue since the federal workforce is considered sacrosanct insofar as job security is concerned. Once hired, an engineer may not move up, may be crushed by office politics, but certainly, she has leeway to fight back and retain one’s position. If her co-worker did not perform but stood by the water tank gossiping all day long, very likely she would move up the ranks because of such “successful networking.” Hopefully DOGE is getting rid of the real lemons.

Hedges’ attempt to paint Trump viciously, and identify him as a target, both idealistically and physically for the audience, is extremely toxic. President Trump is not a human wrecking ball. Past Presidents had expressed their desire to re-organize and re-structure the government, to pare down waste and redundancy, but all they did was create more bloated government. The DOGE team was hired to specifically and quickly identify areas of waste, fraud, and abuse in government agencies and cut down the weedy overgrowth.

Hedges’ lambasting Trump causes one to question the motivation. He’s a leftist populist intellectual who has been feted by the Western media over the decades. Numerous tracts pop up in any search whether article or video. His promotion is not without cause from a politically calculative perspective. USAID has suffered critical losses in personnel, so they can no longer funnel money to the tens of thousands of NGOs, literally millions counting the smaller ones, in Soros Foundation backed operations. This was revealed by Elon Musk himself in a recent three-hour interview with Joe Rogan, that there has “never been a trillion dollar scam” as such uncovered in “Biggest Scam in Human History.” The taxpayers did not vote to fund special interest causes, however well-intentioned, and many of them are already receiving hefty corporate-backed funding in the private sector.

According to The Post Millennial, USAID funneled millions to Black Lives Matter through George Soros-funded Tides Center. Black Lives Matter Global Network sued Tides Center for $33 million in funding it believed the foundation owed them, because $12.4 million was awarded to Black Lives Matter Support Fund to help support BLM grassroots. (That helps explain why at BLM marches and protests so many free water bottles and snacks were being distributed.) Let’s not forget the result either: The Black Lives Matter anti-police racial justice riots caused billions of dollars worth of damage to cities across the United States in 2020. The estimate in damages is up to $5 billion dollars, with areas in cities such as Minneapolis permanently destroyed, landmarks ruined, and statues toppled. Surrogate activities include investments for erecting BLM-approved replacement monuments and artwork and renaming of streets, neighborhoods, schools, and buildings. Are these the types of activities and cultural celebrations that hardworking Americans voluntarily voted for?

But the fact that the cottage-industries of million-man, million-woman marches on Washington are now lacking federal support affects the tourism industry as well. According to political commentators, what is dragging the Left down right now appears to be they rather spend their energy on time-worn strategies: denouncing Trump, challenging DOGE in the courts, spreading negativity and fearmongering, and plotting for an elections turn-around. It is a deadly gamble, which is why historian Victor Davis Hanson compares the Democrats lust for power and authoritarianism to the Jacobins during the French Revolution. They are enraged because in the fiscal year 2024, the USAID received $44 billion in funding from Congress, and now they are cut-off from much of those funds, but must secretly lobby for backdoor funding from, perhaps, the Defense Department.

This is why the establishment media, where an estimated 8,000 journalists are recorded as receiving funds from USAID, is singing in tune like a chorus blaming Trump and Elon Musk for any of society’s woes. TheBurningPlatform.com shared “Fake and Gay” March 4, 2025 social influencer posts of Democrat politicians making public statements that are identical word for word. Shadow of Ezra shared “22 Democrat Senators have now been exposed using identical scripts while attacking Donald Trump and Elon Musk.” Charlie Kirk posted something similar, describing it as “fake and staged.” So did Libs of Tik Tok.

But when has plagiarism, mass cheating, soft on crime, or endless reparations been a problem for the Left?

The vaunted Reverend Chris Hedges has come round to defending the wrong side in the moral battle to save the soul of America. How can sanctimonious moral superiority exclude what is quotidian for Pax Americana? Why must we reject basic All-American values of team player and good sportsmanship for the sake of self-righteous combative attitude? Should we not, as Karoline Leavitt, the White House Press Secretary, pointed out in a review of the State of the Union Address, at least celebrate the fulfillment of wish of a 13-year old DJ Daniel, battling brain cancer, to become a honorary secret service agent? The successful arrest of foreign terrorist? The passage of the Laken Riley Act? The return of Mark Fogle from his detention in Russia? Instead, especially given this was a live broadcast around the world, our enemies witness our disunity:

“It was the most shameful moment in the history of Presidential Addresses in that beautiful chamber. And what was supposed to be a unifying moment for our country, Democrat members of Congress instead screamed at the President of the United States who was just overwhelmingly re-elected by their constituents, walked out of the chamber, and worst of all they disrespected the American people.” — Karoline Leavitt, White House Press Secretary

The DNC and the media are more worried about losing the soft-power needed to control the narrative and their brand than showing the flag to the world that what unites the United States is stronger than what divides us. This failure percolates all the way down to the grassroots; no wonder there are now Jim-Crow style anti-inclusionary virtue-signaling parties from the very people who clamor for more diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Jacobins are so mired in worldly amoral agnoticism that they cannot comprehend their lost spirituality.

But this kind of hypocrisy comes from a Party—or as Peace and Prosperty Institute Founder Ron Paul points out, both parties—mired in debt spending. In “The Deep State Strikes Back,” Dr. Ron Paul warns of the failure to admit mistakes in Ukraine and balancing the budget and in growing unsustainable debt. We must defend liberty rather than being the policeman of the world. We also have created the biggest welfare state, one in which our continuous money printing is giving rise to uncontrolled inflation. Rather than react defensively searching for judges to challenge federal firings, America should reflect how during the last thirty, forty, fifty years bipartisan foreign policy has supported massive government expansion for supporting wars abroad rather than investing in, for instance, much-needed national civil engineering infrastructure. DOGE is helping to recoup the monies spent by waste, fraud, and abuse, and the $500billion recovered can be made permanent through passing a rescission bill by legislation, such as what Senator Rand Paul (Kentucky) proposes.

Focusing on unity and cooperation is the way forward, not feeding on the past while betraying ourselves as hypocrites and plagiarists as Chris Hedges has done. Bear in mind this was the author of “The Greatest Evil is War” who in the past three years adopted a pacifistic perspective emphasizing the need for diplomacy and peace. Now, the Trump Peace Initiative is not good enough and he is called upon to deride the proposal and lambast Trump as “part of his effort to build an alliance with the autocrat in Moscow he admires, but he backs the genocide in Gaza.” Actually President Trump respects President Putin but he also respects the interests of Ukraine. This is why he repeats over and over again to the public: “And I want to end the deaths in Ukraine, all those young people, why do they have to die?” He has stated the same thing with regard to Gaza, that what is going on over there is “shameful.” He wants to end both wars, but the way he goes about it will tend to be from the capitalist perspective; still, it is better than from the black-pill perspective which is where Hedges is based.

A look at the black-pill type of talks and books by Chris Hedges over the years: America: The Farewell Tour; Wages of Rebellion: The Moral Imperative of Revolt; Days of Destruction, Days of Revolt; Death of the Liberal Class; Empire of Illusion; War is a Force that Gives Us Meaning; American Fascists. These are dark sounding books, and the readings and lectures must sound somber, melodramatic, denunciatory, and even fatalistic in their prognosis. It is definitely a sort of exercise in self-flagellation that certain cultural types have mastered, including for instance, solipsist essayist Richard Rodriguez at NPR, sometimes David Brooks, or perhaps David Mas Masumoto, who writes for the Fresno Bee. In Hedges case, the black-pill is made more ripe in such lectures as, “The Genocide in Gaza”; “The Death of Israel”; “American Sadism”; “Empire of Illusion”; “Palestine Talks”; “Is this the End of the American Empire?”; etc. From this perspective his “The Purge of the Deep State” might not be such a departure. Hedges describes himself politically as a “socialist-anarchist.” He might not even be a real Green Party type, although that does seem to, particularly in Germany, head in the direction of fascistical socialistic nihilism.

As an instructor in the New Jersey prison systems, Hedges no doubt is influenced by his jailtime students, and this might account for his complexity and darkness. It may even have a role in accusations of plagiarism, something he has successfully brushed aside with the assistance of eclectic friends who also are interested in USAID-style grant monies. One expose was published in The New Republic by Christopher Ketcham. In the last part, Ketcham records how Hedges also lifted passages of work from his wife, Petra Bartosiewicz, who writes for Harper’s. Ketcham describes by detailed comparison instances of plagiarism in Hedges writing (or ghost-writing if wife also involved). Hedges used his prominence in the media world and his connections to brush off his accusers, belittle them, and bully them into silence. He recognizes his brand is valuable, and so do the magazine editors; but he forgets his place in the relative scale of events. A podcast on this very subject was artfully done by MunicipalEcology on Youtube, “Chris Hedges Exposed for Plagiarism.

Democrats keep accusing Elon Musk of wanting to steal money for himself or his team; yet the understanding is as the world’s richest man, Musk has not even asked for any salary. Same with Trump—being of the billionaire class—he has again foregone any salary for a President, just as he did previously as 45th President. President Trump is the greatest patriotic president ever, a gift to America, because he can very well have retired, not be working so hard, and as a matter of fact, so can Elon Musk who runs several very large companies such as Tesla, and Space X, and has volunteered to bring the astronauts back trapped at the International Space Station (ISS). What the media and establishment does not want to acknowledge is the role Russian astronauts play since their space capsules also attach to the ISS and they have voluntarily brought back a few American astronauts stuck in space in the past. The American establishment also completely ignores the inspiring presence of the China Space Program and TianGong Space Station launched in 2021. Instead everything the U.S.A. does is seen through the lens of relentless competition and death struggle. Maybe America is too obtuse to appreciate that what China does is also for humanity and its own self-betterment, whether building the high-speed rail, space exploration, or extending its trading routes via the Belt-and-Road-Initiative. All we think about is China or Russia “taking over the world.”

No wonder our youth don’t mind being black-pilled by the Democrats and the likes of Chris Hedges into states of abject self-objectification. There are indeed very criminalist elements in China, Russia, India, the Near East, Israel, Mexico, Latin America, Europe, Africa, Carribeans, etc who want to push and sell dope inside the U.S., conduct organ and sex and child and labor trafficking, and smuggle all kinds of goods. And it is easy, with America’s relatively smaller population to invade, infiltrate, rise to positions of control from within, just as has happened throughout Mexico today. The extent to which the Leftists are funded by dark money, dirty money is unknown: this is also a task which DOGE and ICE must try and tackle. As the taxpayers, one must wonder if those screaming the loudest are not culpable in some way. As This is Treason documentary film-maker J.J. Carrell has suggested, one should start investigating the people who are suddenly leaving, selling their homes, trying to instigate political instability, and issuing threats, whether directly or indirectly. Although here is sample of Rep. Ted Lieu screaming for free:

“The insanity coming from the Trump Administration is unacceptable. Instead of addressing the real issues facing Americans—like gas and grocery prices—Elon Musk and Donald Trump are focused on consolidating power, illegally firing federal employees and dismantling the very institutions that hold the powerful accountable. Their actions won’t lower inflation or strengthen our economy. Instead, they will weaken our federal government and waste taxpayer dollars on political redistribution…I spent four years of my life fighting back against the insanity from Trump’s first term. I will do so again and fight for you and with you. We prevailed before, and we will prevail again.” ### Rep. Ted Lieu, 36th District, CA

Like Chris Hedges, Rachel Maddow, or Hakeem Jeffries, the Democrats don’t seem to realize that Biden was rejected for a second-term and that the people rejected an unelected VP for candidate, who completely underperformed as a Border Czar, visiting the border only once while she was in office, for President of the United States. They completely miss the fact that today, Elon Musk is as close to a mythic America folk-hero as we have come to having for a very long time. As PoorDude shares:

“The left has a real problem on their hands. For years they have been using the legacy media to set up their false narratives and the censorship industrial complex to suppress people debunking the false narratives. That is no longer working good enough for them to control ‘the narrative.’ Proof of this is easily seen in the 2024 election. People all over America decided to elect ‘Hitler’ to be president? I don’t think so. Every county in America moved red in the 2024 election except for one. One. There are over 3,000 counties in America. when you look at all of it, the 2024 election was huge win for normal people. If you remove data from cities from the totals, America is one of the safest countries in the world. Cities are a problem…The entire build false narratives and jam them down people’s throats is not working anymore. Too many people have figured it out. Trump and team are working on cutting off the tax money going to support the censorship industrial complex and the legacy media. That will also hurt the left. Look at the viewer data for the legacy media propaganda outlets. They dropped off significantly after the election. If Trump’s FCC starts auditing broadcast licenses there will be bed wetting in the legacy media.”

This is a time when even though there are national heroes/heroines emerging from unexpected places, those we long felt an affinity for have become traitors to the cause or are “wandering ghosts” caught in the fury of storms, cast whichever way their political bosses point them. Anarchists are the greatest enemy of all stable governments. For anyone to declare themselves such makes them very suspect, yet during the past administrations dark monies flowed in that direction in the guise of BLM or Climate Action grassroots NGOs or other subsidiary NGO contracts. According to News for Reasonable People in “Exposing the Inaccurate Narrative of Peaceful AntiTrump Protests” since the election, Antifa has conducted several anti-Trump violence actions. On the West coast, they often launch attacks from Portland where they established a base during the George Floyd protests.

“Under the guise of social justice, Antifa militants smashed windows at federal buildings, including an ICE facility and election office, and spread anti-government graffiti. These actions resulted in significant taxpayer costs and heightened security needs. Despite the clear chaos, mainstream media framed the events as mostly peaceful protests turned intense, minimizing the severity of the crimes and their broader impacts. Portland’s already fragile economic and social environment is further destabilized, discouraging new businesses and investments. The failure to designate Antifa as a domestic terrorist group perpetuates these repeated acts of violence. This highlights a lack of effective leadership to uphold the law and order in liberal cities, leaving taxpayers to foot the bill for the damages caused by unchecked radicalism.” — News for Reasonable People, “Exposing the Inaccurate Narrative of Peaceful AntiTrump Protests”

These anarchists and rioters and angry agitative race-baitors or gender-identity baiters and the damage that they do are collectively supported by leftist NGOs and secret taxpayer monies. We fund them while they disturb, destroy, litter, and desecrate public grounds and private property; we must pay twice to cover the replacement costs of damaged property. Our lost, black-pilled children are “drawn into the fun” of urban camping, street survival, and the entrapment of narco-and-sex traffickers. Should anyone be outraged? Not according to the Democrats who believe in more outreach, free meals, nice tents, and rapid-rehousing for the lucky few. The GOP only has limited time to act against the schemes of the Democrats who are thirsting for power and taking hold of the reins for war and overseeing the country’s final demise. No wonder there is a casting call for alt-media to defend MAGA for all its worth.
