Israel America’s Invisible War on Lebanon (Week 27/28)

President Trump’s attempts at peace in the Middle East have faltered—if ever they were intended for long-term agreement.

By now anyone who is learning about the wars in the Middle East (Gaza, West Bank, Iran, Syria, Lebanon) knows that the mainstream media is largely unreliable. Even large outside foreign news agencies may be compromised due to their political leaders having signed onto the Abraham Accords or becoming hosts to a number of Western offensive outposts.

They routinely underreport on the ongoing catastrophe or attacks against the Palestinians, and when they do report, it is even to celebrate the victories against state-categorized terrorists, such as Hamas and Hezebollah. They may report with great sensitivity the plight of the Gazans, yet nary a word about Lebanon.

U.S. foreign policy is so entrenched with Israel, that their Prime Minister knows he can come to Washington empty-handed and leave with hundreds of millions of dollars in new military and economic aid. The only foreign country that can do this besides Israel, such as via the carte blanches issued under the Biden Administration, is Ukraine.

But Israel has not come quite empty-handed. In the last visit, Netanyahu arrived with a “Nobel Peace Prize nomination” for Trump, although one cannot help wonder what he would have done to deserve it. On a previous visit, he came with a “Golden Pager” trophy for Trump, as a reminder of “cleverness” that the media crowed about for weeks, how Mossad had infiltrated the communications systems of Hezbollah in Lebanon and in one day last September, caused many cellphones to detonate. The next day it was walkie-talkies that detonated. And this was followed by weeks of random bombing throughout Lebanon, allegedly targeting Hezbollah hide-outs, but in the process, per usual for Israel, killing many innocent people.

While domestically Trump is double-downing on his Project 2025 cryptocurrency agenda in the United States, there is much public unrest over the ICE detention scandals, the Jeffrey Epstein “There is No Black Book” statements by the Attorney General, and the typical dismissiveness of the Trump Administration that these concerns are “obsessive.”

Why “There is No Black Book” Matters

As foreign news observers and as, such as Glenn Diesen or Vanessa Beeley note, there are reasons why now the public is more keen for the AG to provide documents to the public than ever before. Even conservative commentators and independents are urging for transparency, and it is due to the connections of Epstein with Mossad, meaning our President Trump had in the past been closely affiliated, for ten years was even an associate of Jeffrey Epstein, a foreign agent of Israel. Another close friend had been Roy Cohn, and other shady but powerful lawyers who helped Trump navigate the networks needed to land multimillion dollar land deals with regard to casinos, protect Miss Universe contests, and so on.

There is no question that Trump has a colorful past, but what the public is worried about is the grip that Israel through its lobbying groups, such as AIPAC, has over Washington, including over ninety-percent of its legislators, judges, media narratives, and who gains entry into the Executive Office. If Trump is compromised, it means he must do what Netanyahu orders, or else he will be exposed or suffer other horrible consequences.

This could be why Trump was favored by the elite over Kamala Harris in the first place: Trump has family ties to Netanyahu via his son-in-law Jared Kushner, whose family are close friends with Netanyahu going back many decades. Even if Kushner is not currently serving, his father was given an ambassador post by Trump, and in that capacity, most likely continues to serve as a dual national, easily passing on information or using that country to provide cover for various missions.

The Israel-First agenda must not be confuted with the America-First agenda, although both are similar in their zeal for a Zio-American axis, and a dominant hegemonic perspective that denies any multipolar world order that is not controlled by the Washington Consensus. Unfortunately, it’s a consensus that demands war-based weapons trade and favorable deals, and increasingly, also giving up any notion on political brinksmanship.

Lebanon is Squeezed by Syria, Israel, Jordan, UAE

Meanwhile, another invaluable news source almost disappeared last week, Laith Marouf of Free Palestine TV (FPTV) in Lebanon. He had just finished interviewing Lebanese villagers in South Lebanon, villagers whose homes had been destroyed by IDF drones, but who keep trying to rebuild their homes nonetheless. In recent days, the IDF has targeted the remnants of towns in Southern Lebanon, firing upon homes and their occupants with abandon, to scare them off from returning. Other Israeli colonists have signaled their intention to occupy the abandoned farmlands of Southern Syria and Lebanon by crossing over and photographing themselves pitching tents, staking claims, flying the Israeli flag, and posting it online.

This intensifying campaign of terror and atrocities against Syria and Lebanon has been periodic since the 1980s, often backed by the United States, who provides Israel weapons, tanks, jeeps, and even soldiers. Nowadays, however, thanks to AI software and globalist security companies such as Palantir, the attacks can be done remotely, leaving few traces behind on whodunit.

In the intervening months since the fall of Syria and the rise of President al-Sharaa (formerly al-Julani), a former HTS and al-Qaeda fighter, Lebanon has been further squeezed by authoritarian regimes: to the north Sharaa quickly clamped down on the press and now very little authentic news on what is taking place within Syria is officially available; to the South is Israel, which has struck a not-so-secret bargain between Turkiye, HTS, and the U.S. that the Golan Heights is now officially absorbed into Israel.

But because this area has long been controlled by the Druze, a Bedouin-Arab tribe originally from Yemen, who have long perched on the Golan Heights and own farmlands downslope from Mt. Hermon into Syria, those lands are being lusted for by Israel or their proxies, the Israeli “settlers.” Druze also have phalanges of their tribe in Northern Lebanon, and last week, they ventured north to defend their brethren trapped in al-Suwayda governate. In this complicated drama, the Druze have been subject to destabilization by HTS factions from the North.

Officially, the word was that there has been infighting between the Druze and the Bedouin tribes. However as revealed by FPTV (on July 23, after being freed after three days of interrogation by the Lebanese military), this is a ruse. The HTS are posing as Bedouin factions and inciting other Bedouins into the belief that the Christian Druze will attack the Takfiri extremists, and Sunni Moslem. However as this FPTV historian from Aabey (Aley District) describes, the Druze are Bedouins themselves, and their history as guardians of the Mount has always been in support of Syria.

True, in recent decades the Mossad has made inroads among the Druze and caused a radical Christian faction of Druze to spring up, led by a divisive leader. While there are Druze who have taken a loyalty oath in support of Israel for the benefits offered to their families after sending their children to serve in the IDF, the bulk of the Druze are heterogenous in religious tolerance, but with the common interest united around defending their territory, and serving as a lookout for former Syria, somewhat like the Sikh have traditionally done for India.

This is why HTS chose to defend the Bedouin factions after they tried unsuccessfully to attack the Druze at Suwayda. The Druze from Lebanon had joined with their brothers and outnumbered the Bedouin factions, so HTS then tried to send additional troops in. Typical of the terrorist organization, they conducted a massacre inside the Suwayda hospital, killing at least 400 people, including all the patients, doctors, nurses, and personnel. As the Western command was notified of these massacres, Israel decided to “come to the defense” of the Druze, however, as is typical, they also conducted attacks far beyond the boundaries: they bombed inside of Damascus, the capital of Syria, including the Ministry of Defense building and the surrounding capital monuments.

Why would HTS, which has a secret sworn brotherhood with the West, at least in the hopes of being taken off the U.S. sanctions list and aspiring to join the Accords, become an IDF target?

No Such Thing as Loyalty Among Thieves

As FPTV tells it to Reason2Resist Dimitri Lascaris, based on observation as a Bedouin, whose family was forced to fight against the colonialism, Zionism, and imperialism of France under the Sykes-Picot Agreement, the tiny Zionist state relies upon the tools of subterfuge and intrigue to stir up unrest everywhere they trod. Whether it is Gaza, where they are conducting death-trap feeding centers, with the flour shipped from the United States even laced with “opioids” to poison the Palestinians; whether it is the West Bank, recently annexed by Israel, in the interest of making impossible any two-state solution, meanwhile encouraging rampant attacks against West Bank Palestinian farmers; whether it is Jordan, UAE, or Arabia, captured by their interest in the Abraham Accords and imposing oppressive authoritarian regimes on their peoples; whether it is Qatar, which has achieved Western banking in exchange for becoming a Stepford Wives model luxury exchange; the motivation is the same.

Syria must bend the knee to Israel and the West, but the fear of a genuine revolutionary emerging from the ranks and upsetting Sharaa remains; therefore the Deep State determined that the way to guarantee that Syria will be permanently kneecapped will be to eliminate all national infrastructure, while allowing HTS to do what it can to make irreversible its damage to Syria’s cultural heritage. There are reports in the Alawite coastal region of HTS factions conducting massacres of residents, capturing the daughters and turning them into sex slaves, ransacking homes and churches, and taking over their banks and mosques. All those riches will belong to HTS, but in the meantime, the previous histories must be expunged.

And of course, from the perspective of the Shia Moslem who remain throughout the Levant and in Iraq and Iran, as well as in Yemen, they see the writing on the wall all too clearly.

Lebanon is a small state, but it is now besieged by HTS militias who lurk in Southeast Syria, to the West of Lebanon, its North, and to the South is Israel. Essentially over the past twenty years, Lebanon had increasing become politically, a puppet-state. It’s constitution required equal representation from both Christians and Moslem, however they could come to little agreement over who should become President. The most recent appointment (General Joseph Khalil Aoun) is foisted upon them by the West, which offers a “peace settlement” conducted by the U.S. Secretary of State (or his envoy) in stark terms: Sanctions will be lifted only if the entirety of Lebanon completely disarms. There must no longer be any form of Hezbollah.

And this is what lies also around the impetus for Israel attacking the Druze. Like the Sikhs of India, they are known for their fighting ability going back to the days of the Crusades, when atop Mt. Hermon, they could espy the ships of foreign invaders arriving. Like the Swiss Army, every household had fighting men and women, each well-versed on the use of arms. Even today, the mountains of Lebanon are a stronghold because of the rough terrain. Thus, to ask the Lebanese to disarm at a time when it is under organized, planned attacks by HTS and Israel, backed by the West, would be like asking the fighters at Fort Alamo to lay down their arms and allow themselves to be murdered. Israel wants to eliminate the Druze who have represented the fighting backbone for both Syria and Lebanon, even if the Druze remain apolitical, and their motto is: Do not conduct aggression, Do not allow aggression!

It is an impossibility. Yet, officially the Lebanese government is appearing to acquiesce by doing what it just tried to do with Laith Marouf or other rogue journalists: imprison and silence them. Do not allow the Druze to cross the border to help defend their brothers to the North. Keep quiet about the IDF attacks upon Lebanese southern towns and farmlands. Pretend that no incursions are occurring by the IDF, no bomb attacks, no massacres, downplay everything. Keep trying to eliminate the small banks in favor of IMF loan system.

How will the Lebanese keep quiet when their very existence as a people are at stake?

The Lebanese cannot keep quiet when they see the suffering and persecution taking place right now in Syria. They cannot keep quiet when their efforts to support Gaza are met with hubris, denialism, and threats. They know that if they disarm, the IDF will swoop down upon them and destroy their cities and arrange a complete regime-change. They know that Turkiye, Israel, the United States, France, and even the UK are eying Syria and plotting how to divide the “cake.” They see their future for their cities, shops, farms, and families as being subject to ruthless butchery unless they keep armed and keep trying to fight back.

And this predicament is not being reported by the West. Everyone is lusting after the big war with Iran, but meanwhile, this quiet war, this war of subjugation and control, is taking place inside this beautiful coastal state with its ancient Mediterranean cities, a country with a still living history, not become dead and commodified as has Jaffa, the once thriving Palestinian port city south of Tel Aviv.
