Former candidates for U.S. president endorse Trump: Kennedy, Ramaswamy, Gabbard
As of September 2024, the 2024 Presidential election is shaping into one with the most highest stakes ever. Democracy as we know it is at stake before the dark veil of totalitarian multiculturalism and profusion of thought-police mandates. This can be why Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has thrown his support behind former President Donald J. Trump, the GOP 2024 candidate for U.S. President. In his concession speech Kennedy brings up reasons why he is supporting Trump in his bid, despite the Kennedy son being a Democratic Party scion. Both Kennedy and Trump share the sting of government weaponization against them such as media censorship, lawfare-type lawsuits, lack of/inept secret service protection, and blocking of state eligibility.
“We talked about—-not about the things that separate us because we don’t agree on everything but on—-the values and issues that bind us together and one of the issues that he talked about was having safe food and ending the chronic disease epidemic. Our children are now the unhealthiest sickest children in the world. Don’t you want healthy children? And don’t you want the chemicals out of our food? And don’t you want the regulatory agencies to be free from corporate corruption?” —“RFK Jr. endorses Trump,” Aug 23, 2024, The Economic Times, or CNN-News18, or Kennedy24.com
“What most alarms me isn’t how the democratic party conducts its internal affairs, or runs its candidates. What alarms me is the resort to censorship and media control. And the weaponization of the federal agencies. When a U.S. president colludes with, or outright coerces media companies to censor political speech, it is an attack on our most sacred right of free expression. And that is the very right upon which all of our other constitutional rights rest.” —-“Robert F. Kennedy Jr. suspends presidential campaign,” Fox News, Aug 23, 2024
However in RFK Jr.’s situation, it may also include the possibility of a very hectic schedule, considering his consultancy as a lawyer. His firm has been working in defense of the people in lawsuits for protecting the environment, people’s health versus the vaccine industry, the people’s rights versus chemical corporations, even children’s rights versus USDA mandates. Whether it is holding a virtual townhall with Boomers or listening to him speak at the Nixon Foundation, RFK’s independence and values merge with the issues and policies that matter.
“Not only did we do the impossible by collecting 1 million signatures. We changed the national political conversation forever. Chronic disease, free speech, government corruption, breaking our addiction to war, have moved the center of politics.” —-“Robert F. Kennedy Jr. suspends presidential campaign,” Fox News, Aug 23, 2024
“Here’s the good news: while mainstream outlets denied me a critical platform, it didn’t shut down my ideas which have especially flourished among young voters and independent voters, thanks to the alternative media.” —-“Robert F. Kennedy Jr. suspends presidential campaign,” Fox News, Aug 23, 2024
Kennedy and other candidates have found a viable audience in alt-media such as Kim Iverson, Mike Adams, Dr. Drew, Ruptly, Redacted, NewsNation, The Hill, The Washington Examiner, Al Jazeera, and USA Today, not to mention commentary by numerous pundits such as David Zublick, TruNews, Brighteon, Stew Peters, to name just a few. The difference appears to be that Kennedy is more truly thankful for all his volunteers and media mentions, whoever they may be, in keeping with a DIY America perspective.
However a recent reminder of how tricky and controversial this election may be comes from Nicole Shanahan, Robert F. Kennedy’s former VP pick, who asserts recently that the Kennedy endorsement means his campaign is officially suspended and should not appear on swing state ballots, some of who are now purposely keeping his name on the ballot, possibly to serve as a spoiler:
“We did set out to win it, and at this point right now, we formed a coalition partnership with Donald Trump, and we got a great team”—-“Nicole Shanahan calls swing states ‘incredibly disingenuous’ for keeping RFK Jr. on ballots,” Washington Examiner, Aug 29, 2024.
In fact, the growing runaway U.S. debt with rising inflation, unmanageable foreign wars, and home-grown terrorism caused by borderless crossings has caused other candidates to voice support for the former President, including Samoan-American Tulsi Gabbard, former Democratic Congressional Representative from Hawaii, and Vivek Ramaswamy, an Indian-American Republican assets manager and entrepreneur. They share an unlikely transition in their support for the former President DJT, the billionaire “Art of the Deal” himself. Most importantly from an “identity politics” standpoint, both qualify as AAPI candidates, and in fact, Gabbard has not only held memberships in the Congressional Progressive Caucus, but also the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus, even if they might now be giving her the cold shoulder for thinking too independently and endorsing Trump.
“This Administration has us facing multiple wars on multiple fronts and regions around the world, and closer to the brink of nuclear war than we ever have been before. This is one of the main reasons why I’m committed to doing all that I can to send President Trump back to the White House where he can once again serve as our Commander-in-Chief, because I am confident that his first task will be to do the work to walk us back from the brink of war.” — Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (Hawaii), Fox 7 Austin, Aug 26, 2024
“We cannot be prosperous unless we are at peace, and we can’t live free as long as we have a government that is retaliating against its political opponents and undermining our civil liberties, weaponizing our very institutions against those they deem as a threat.” — Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (Hawaii), Fox 7 Austin, Aug 26, 2024
“It’s a 1776 moment right now…It means we believe in the ideals…like freedom and merit and the pursuit of excellence. That you get ahead in this country not on the color of your skin, but on the content of your character and your contributions. End affirmative action. End the DEI. We are done with the nonsense. Send it back home. It means you believe in the rule of law. And I say this as the kid of legal immigrants to this country…” — “Vivek Ramaswamy endorses Trump,” Fox News, Jan 16, 2024
“We have been celebrating our diversity and our differences for so long that we forgot all of the ways we are the same as Americans, bound by the common set of ideals that set this country into motion. We believe those ideals still exist.” — “Vivek Ramaswamy endorses Trump,” Fox News, Jan 16, 2024
Why is DJT seemingly so charismatic these days? People seem to forget that Trump had a very frightening event take place in the assassination attempt on July 13, 2024, because the corporate media has tried very hard to dismiss that. Die-hard right-wing pundits believe that Trump had a “born-again” experience that helps him appreciate being alive. Indeed, Trump’s uncommonly long speeches at Trump rallies shows him time and again pausing his speech, congratulating fans for showing up, acknowledging medical doctors helping people, complimenting the traveling Joannes, and cracking jokes. Even Trump’s website, DonaldJTrump.com, indicates a policy platform based on what an awakened American public wants: control on migration, preventing war, stopping inflation, stopping outsourcing, restoring peace, rebuilding our cities, and defending our constitution.
