BDS: Stop the bloodshed, End the Occupations

The past weeks have seen a 3rd great intifada, which Al-Jazeera will call, the Great War of Israel-Palestine 2021. Although as of May 21, 2021, a ceasefire is in effect after a week of deliberations at the United Nations, during which the United States rejected calls for such several times, the war is not over. In fact, a huge arms package will proceed, a sale of $732 million worth in arms, promises President Joe Biden, claiming Israel needs to be able to defend itself. This is not the kind of peace that will last, as more arms just pumps Israel up for more war, argues Marwan Bishara in “Why Netanyahu thinks America is Stupid.” But unfortunately new pathways to peace take time. Just look at the obvious trends in the rise of homelessness across America. Even when there are empty abandoned houses, half-blocks long, homeless people are not allowed inside those structures. They must pitch their tents outside, eat cold unheated foods stored in plastic trays, and urinate wherever.

What would our Founding Fathers say if they saw what was happening all across America today? They would be horrified, maybe even incarcerated for their free speech!
