Awareness Grows as Gaza Starvicide News Spreads Worldwide (Week 28)

Protesters in front of CSPAN, NBC, and Fox News Studios on 400 N Capitol Street NW in Washington, DC

The Gaza “Starvicide” tragedy is now a globally spreading story all around the world, but largely drowned out in U.S. mainstream media.

Mostly the mainstream media is still blaming the Palestinians in the Occupied Israel for being prisoners by choice, and for being Hamas supporters. Or, as recently seen in ads on YouTube or in a report by Megyn Kelly, they are denying the starvation as a “hoax” because those children actually had an untreated disease. Apparently they do not care to ask why those children developed such diseases and why there are so few hospitals in Gaza.

In contrast, the coverage from Al Jazeera, TRT World, Middle East Eye, Mondoweiss, and Times of India, including interviews with medical personnel, former UNRWA staff, and foreign correspondents trapped in Gaza, reveals professionals who are literally sacrificing their lives to provide live-stream reporting to the world, and tells the authentic story.

The borders of Gaza were officially shut down since March 2025

Women, infants, toddlers, children who have never carried a gun are being sacrificed as collective punishment. Gazans are largely unarmed yet IDF soldiers and defense contractors kill them every day. They are even using the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), the “improved alternative” to UNRWA, to play shooting gallery on the men standing in line desperately waiting to receive food.

So far, it is estimated that hundreds of thousands of people have died or disappeared; the facts cannot be ascertained because Gazans must move wherever they are told to go, and official counts ended after the hospital morgues were shut down at many hospitals in Gaza last year. People lack the energy and equipment needed to collect bodies trapped under the rubble. It can be up to ten times the officially reported figure of 65,000 people dead.

“Prior to the March siege, there was more than 400 food distribution sites around Gaza in the UN system. With this new GHF, Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, there are four sites in all of Gaza. So this means people who are starving, sick, ill, homeless, any other number of conditions, are often having to travel many miles to go to one of these sites where food is not guaranteed.” — Mondoweiss

Food distribution is not guaranteed because there isn’t enough, or a massacre or stampede has just occurred, and the people become afraid to stand in line. But by now, the scenes of small children waving their pots for bowls of soup, gruel, or vegetable stew are on social media all around the globe. Others wait for hours to receive a few gallons of clean water.

Even the video clips of the GHF Relief Centers (there are only 4, where there used to be at least 400 UNRWA food distribution points) show massive long queues with people lined up like cattle in a stockade waiting for hours to receive their box of food. It is so dangerous that people must now thank Allah Akbar that they have survived the hazards of the baking desert heat, the lack of any seats or latrines, the dangers of a massacre by the soldiers.

This is how Israel is trying to break the will of the Palestinian-Arabs to stay bonded together as a civilization and religious culture. The danger is that this barbarism will be re-applied as a new policy to break the will of the common Arabs elsewhere, whether in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, or Iran, who are all the declared enemies of Israel.

Palestinian-Arabs share their worry that this kind of brutish treatment and breakdown of the rule of international humanitarian law will become normalized any time the West does not get its way, as Myriam Charabaty, a Palestinian Christian shares in an interview recently at the UK Column. Meanwhile, protests by Westerners in Western countries have been met with crackdowns, arrests, withholding of federal funding, and even ICE deportation.

Nevertheless human advocacy groups and anti-war demonstrators continue to raise the alarm. Despite the repressive atmosphere enacted by the Trump Administration, including a new Antisemitism Task Force which is cracking down on anti-Zionist protests as “antisemitic,” defunding of multicultural studies programs, and firing anti-imperialist professing lecturers, people continue to demonstrate all around the country, including in Washington, D.C.

Demonstration in front of Major Network Studios in Washington

A small group of protesters gathered on July 30, 2025 in front of the NBC, CSPAN, and Fox News stations close to Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. They carried and displayed posters depicting the starving toddlers in Gaza, Israel. Slogans read things like, “Let the Food Trucks In” “Israel did this” “Media Complicity in Genocide” “Let Gaza Live” “Your Tax Dollars Enable Israel to Do This” and “Israel Stop Starving Gaza.”

The leaders were from well-known groups such as TruthAboutPalestine.com, and CodePink.

This reporter asked a CodePink tee-shirt wearing advocate about what they hope to accomplish, and what response they had received so far. Apparently, the news media were ignoring the group banging their pots and pans, blaring their sirens, and making noise below.

They only emerged from the building during noon hour and most of them blithely headed past the protesters, scowling at or ignoring the posters, so they could grab lunch on time. However a handful of passerbys and workers did stop to ask questions. By the end of the noon hour, a camera-man from NBC News was even setting up his camera.

There were a few police cars parked out front, and one Fox News media person talked with the police in his car, energetically gesticulating at the group, while his building security guard held up his phone camera to take footage of all the protesters (there were less than ten). Luckily the police did not do anything, since yellow tape already marked off the right-of-way protest boundaries, so protesters could not cross past the sidewalk.

The advocate told me that she would summarize what she would tell the media if she could confront them about their complicity in the genocide, something evident because of their lack of coverage, their self-censorship, and their even adopting the pro-Israel perspective justifying the genocide in Gaza: “Shame on you for allowing this to happen!

But isn’t the price of cheap gas and lower inflation and all the rest of the access to resources in the Middle East important for helping Make America Great Again?

No, the advocate believes, because it is costing human lives, and that is a crime. The killing must stop, and it doesn’t matter about the rest, because it is irrelevant.

This kind of gallant philanthropic idealism is becoming rare in America today because we have a President who values riches, power, and glory more than anything else on Earth.

However here are a few facts from Truth About Palestine who handed out fliers to passersby:

“2 million people in Gaza are in Stage 5 of malnutrition, the effects of which are irreversible, even if food becomes available in the future.”

“650,000 children under the age of 5 are on the brink of death due to starvation. At least 620 people have already died due to malnutrition, including at least 76 babies.”

This is in addition to the at least 650 deaths due to the GHF relief center soldiers shooting at those who were crowding or standing too close together. In fact Truth About Palestine believes it is more like at least 1,000 people who have been shot.

They believe that denial of basic human rights, food and water, or using these as weapons of war, is cruel and inhumane. The blockade has restricted the entry of food, fuel, and essential daily necessities for babies and those with health needs.

“Over 9,000 humanitarian aid convoys are blocked and bombed, preventing desperately needed food from reaching Palestinian civilians. All major food aid organizations are banned from Gaza by Israel. Food is available and waiting to enter—but Israel is blocking it.

Truth About Palestine wants the American public, the media, and especially the legislators and decision-makers in Congress to end this “engineered starvation.”

As the public, we can become voice of conscience by contacting our elected officials from “Find Your Representative” at House.gov and Senate.gov, and let them know that we want this brutal crime and gross injustice to end. We can also break the silence by speaking out on social media, sharing images of the starving children and demanding that our leaders take action. We can tag influencers, celebrities, media personalities, businesses, and elected officials, telling them that we demand action now.

Jewish People Alarmed About Atrocities Taking Place Under Zionists

This is the second time that Code Pink has come out to speak about the atrocities going on in Israel this month. The last time was July 7th when Prime Minister Netanyahu was at the White House, and the American Muslims for Palestine held a joint press conference outside the gates of Lafayette Park in front of the White House. Code Pink’s Medea Benjamin was not afraid to denounce the Prime Minister and the complicity of the news media:

“It boggles the mind to think that we have been witnessing this for so many months, and the failures of our international institutions, the failure of Arab countries, the failure of course of our own government, which is so complicit in this. And it’s not just a slogan to say that Netanyahu belongs in the Hague and not here in the White House…”

The Hague of course refers not just to prosecution by the International Criminal Court in the Netherlands, where PM Netanyahu is indicted for crimes against humanity, but the Hague Penitentiary Institution of the Netherlands.

And this opinion was also repeated by Rabbi Dovid Feldman at the July 7th press conference. After all, it is not just the institutions that are becoming complicit, but all of our nation’s leaders including President Trump, who may face charges at the ICC if this continues. Rabbi Feldman asserts that Judaism and Zionism are not co-equal:

“According to Judaism, all of this is wrong. Killing, stealing, oppressing an entire people. These are not only crimes in international law. These are crimes in Judaism. We have to remember that anti-Zionism is not anti-semitism in any way. Judaism and Zionism is not the same. Judaism is a religion, while Zionism is a purely political movement…”

Later that afternoon, in the wake that followed, the Rabbi offered a prayer of peace to the crowd, recalling how in the early twentieth century, Palestine had no religious conflict:

“We should remember we can live in peace. We will live in peace. But this obstacle to peace, this cause to conflict needs to be removed. Removed in its entirety. And we pray to Almighty God that we can see once again the beautiful peace to everyone involved where Jews, Muslims, anyone regardless where we come from can live in Palestine in the Holy Land peacefully with no oppression and with no murder or killing. Thank you very much.”

As Truth About Palestine advocates, this targeting of food, including Israeli “destruction of agricultural land, greenhouses, and fishing boats, and crippling Palestinians’ ability to grow or catch their own food,” is a crime that must be condemned and stopped.

The danger of this genocide is also the possible future backlash upon Jewish people around the world. Today anti-Zionist Jews and academics in America feel repressed and afraid of speaking out against Israel, especially as they see these ongoing cuts, ongoing rescissions to their beloved Liberal Arts programs at Universities, because the Project 2025 has stated that universities must produce measurable employment results or else those programs that do not produce such results will be cut.

Black Agenda Report produced a compilation of what Jewish academics are saying about the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of “anti-semitism” along with what exemplifies that. Mostly, like Rabbi Feldman has pointed out over the years, it is the confuting of “anti-Zionism” with “anti-Semitism” which is viewed as a threat to liberal thought, historical research, balanced political perspective, freedom of expression, and even resulting in possible censorship, removal, and elimination of books and ideas.

The fundamental concern is that rather than evolving as a democratic state, our U.S. government and instititutions are becoming more like the autocratic theocracy that basically conditions its citizens to support a dictatorial type of fascism such as exists in troubled failed states like Ukraine, and increasingly also Israel, today.
